Both as a band and as individuals, Awake At Last stand for positivity, spirituality, and self-empowerment. After the success of their debut album The Change, they returned with their darker, introspective follow-up The Balance in 2023.
The band has toured with Ice Nine Kills, Fit For A King, From Ashes To New, Light The Torch, Adelitas Way, and Icon For Hire, earning strong support from SiriusXM Octane. Produced by Erik Ron, the singles “Bloodline” and “The Other Side” set the tone for the album’s exploration of struggle and transformation, each track paired with a tarot card to deepen the story.
Their latest single, Black Masquerade, is a powerful anthem about deception and the search for authenticity in an artificial world. Lines like “Living under pixelated skies, searching for truth in this sea of lies” reflect today’s struggle to find what’s real.
Awake At Last’s newest track, Be Not Afraid, returns to their uplifting core, an empowering call to rise above fear and embrace resilience. Blending high-energy rock with a spiritual heartbeat, it’s a reminder that even in darkness, you’re becoming something greater.
After years grinding in LA, vocalist Johnny Skulls and guitarist Dax Dabs returned to Boston to form Above Snakes, a band built on authenticity and defiance of industry gatekeepers.
Teaming up with producer Kile Odell (Papa Roach, Nothing More), they debuted in 2020 with “Adrenaline,” earning major Spotify placements. Follow-up singles like “Never Alone,” “The Broken Ones,” and “Down” gained traction on SiriusXM Octane, Apple Music, and Pandora.
Since then, Above Snakes, a have toured nationwide with acts including From Ashes To New, Fire From The Gods, RA, Adelitas Way, and Drowning Pool, while continuing to release hard-hitting singles like “Crash N Burn.”
Their story is a testament to DIY spirit, relentless work ethic, and staying true to their vision.
